When we get stressed why do our necks tighten, shoulders knot, legs cramp and heads ache? Long story short: the hormone known as Cortisol. Read on to find out how it causes all this trouble and what we can do to counteract its effects.
When we are stressed our bodies go into “fight or flight mode.” This starts an increase in blood flow (your heart starts to beat faster) and causes us tense up - all this to help transport a key hormone needed to cope with stress, Cortisol.
